Job Description:
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Excess and Surplus Underwriter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience working with non-admitted markets and a proven track record in underwriting small to middle market accounts. You will play a pivotal role in evaluating risks, developing pricing strategies, and maintaining strong relationships with brokers.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assess, analyze, and underwrite small to middle market accounts, ensuring adherence to company guidelines and regulatory requirements.
* Collaborate with brokers to develop tailored insurance solutions for clients in non-admitted markets.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with brokers, leveraging your network to drive business growth.
* Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
* Provide exceptional customer service to brokers and clients, addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
* Prepare and present detailed underwriting reports and recommendations to senior management.
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in Excess and Surplus underwriting, specifically within non-admitted markets.
* Strong understanding of small to middle market accounts.
* Proven ability to develop and maintain relationships with brokers.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
* Wholesale experience
* Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
* Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
