Position Overview:

We are currently hiring for Dump Truck Driver to transport materials and equipment to and from construction sites.  The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, excellent driving record, and a commitment to delivering goods safely and on time. Responsibilities:

• Safely operate and maintain company vehicles with a Class A CDL license.
• Transport goods and materials to and from specified locations in a timely manner.
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations to ensure a safe driving environment.
• Perform routine pre and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any defects or issues.
• Assist excavation foreman with necessary task (grading, trenching, digging, and backfilling) to finish up projects, when not hauling materials.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date delivery logs and records.
• Communicate effectively with Yard Manager and Supervisors.
• Ensure the security of the vehicle and handle it with care to prevent damage.

Qualifications:

• Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
• Experience preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations.
• Ability to operate and maintain various types of trucks and trailers.
• Physical fitness and ability to work in varying weather conditions.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills 
• Ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.

Environmental Conditions:

Working conditions vary from that of outside conditions (extreme outdoor temperatures/inclement weather conditions), high noise level in certain areas.

Communication:
Extensive daily interaction with yard staff, vendor staff, colleagues, management, and customers. Communicates effectively with all levels of management both internally and externally.
