About The Role

• Skilled Technical Expertise: Utilize knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, and other components to diagnose and repair mechanical issues.
• Demonstrate proficiency in using diagnostic tools and software to identify and troubleshoot complex problems efficiently.
• Preventive Maintenance:  Execute routine inspections and preventive maintenance procedures to ensure the fleet's optimal performance and minimize downtime.
• Safety Standards: Prioritize safety protocols and guidelines 
• Manage work schedules effectively to meet repair deadlines, ensuring the timely return of trucks to operational status.
• Work collaboratively with other mechanics, technicians, and support staff to streamline workflow and enhance overall team productivity
• Continuous Learning: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and updates in truck mechanics to enhance skills and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Be prepared to respond promptly to high-priority breakdowns, demonstrating a sense of urgency and problem-solving skills to minimize downtime.

Ideal Candidate 

• Proven Experience: The ideal candidate should possess a solid background in truck mechanics with a demonstrated track record of successful repairs and maintenance of heavy-duty vehicles.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Exhibit strong problem-solving skills, enabling the candidate to diagnose and address complex mechanical issues efficiently.
• Attention to Detail: Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail in both diagnostic procedures and repairs, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest quality and safety standards.
• Adaptability: Showcase adaptability and flexibility in handling diverse truck models, emerging technologies, and changing industry standards, highlighting a willingness to learn and grow within the role.
• Commitment to Safety: Display a strong commitment to safety protocols, emphasizing a proactive approach to identifying and addressing potential safety hazards in the maintenance and repair process.
• Equipment Knowledge: Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of a wide range of tools, equipment, and technology used in truck mechanics, showcasing the ability to leverage the latest resources for efficient and effective repairs.
