ABOUT THE ROLE

As a data solution architect, you can dissect a customer’s real business question and translate that into a tangible cloud data solution. You will work closely with our Managing Consultants and act at a C-level / director level with our customers.

HOW YOU WILL IMPACT THE BUSINESS

• Identify digital trends (data and cloud) in the market and their potential business value.
• Collaborate with customers and their architects to understand their technical data requirements and provide recommendations for optimal solutions.
• Dissect the real customer challenge into understandable words.
• Develop and implement technical solutions that align with client problems and goals.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from initial planning to implementation and support.
• Examine existing projects bottom up, identify improvements, and automate manual processes, without losing sight of the bigger picture.
• Lead by example: inspire our team of technical professionals, including data engineers, data platform engineers, cloud engineers, software engineers and architects.
• Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous learning within the technical team.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Master’s degree in computer science, AI, electrical engineering or related studies.
• Experience with consultancy (at an enterprise or within another consultancy company.)
• Extensive (hands-on) knowledge of data platforms and data processing, using Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud and related concepts.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience building data cloud lakes, data-intensive applications, data pipelines, CI/CD and data engineering.
• Experience in digital solutions and data science/AI.
• 3+ years of experience in activities such as pre-sales, post-sales, solution architecting and shaping solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, ability to explain complex technological concepts and solutions effectively (simply and clearly) to both management and operational levels.

Most of our positions are hybrid. Unless otherwise indicated in the job post, it is a requirement that you are based within the job's stated location.  This is a full time, permanent W2 position located in San Diego, California. Candidates must be located in San Diego as this is a hybrid position that does require an onsite presence for certain days of the week. We'll only be able to respond to applicants who meet the basic qualifications for this role. Itility offers a strong benefits package for full time employees.
