Roger., an integrated technology and communications consultancy firm specializing in public affairs, public relations, marketing, branding, and crisis management, is looking for an Operations Research / Systems Analysis (ORSA) Data Scientist to support an Army client. Ideal candidates have an active Secret security clearance and previous experience for the federal government, preferably defense. This position is on-site in Arlington, VA. DC.

Responsibilities:

• Derive technical and programmatic information, preparing Executive summaries, briefings, point papers, and other products as necessary to apprise senior leadership of relevant issues and developments related to budgetary, programmatic, and technical concerns, particularly those with impact across various Science & Technology areas, providing decision information for Senior Army Executives as well as DoD officials.
• Leverage traditional and emerging analytic tools and techniques to bring quantitative and qualitative analysis, data analytics, and data science to the military’s decision- making processes by developing and applying probability models, statistical inference, simulations, optimization, data analysis, and data visualization.
• Track the status of actions as required, and inform the senior leadership of that status as required.
• Develop Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel- compatible briefing materials regarding major programs and other data pertinent to senior leader decision- making, as the Government may request based on contractor proposals and senior leader direction.
• Travel may be required.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Must be a US Citizen
• Must have an active Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, data science or field directly related to the position. Masters and / or completion of Operations Research / Systems Analysis Military Applications Course (ORSA-MAC) preferred.
• 3-10 years of related professional experience
• Outstanding written and oral communication skills to communicate effectively, to build and sustain working relationships with a vast team of diverse professionals.
