About the Role:
As a Sr. Data Integrity Analyst, you will be responsible for ensuring the security and compliance of our database environments that store and process sensitive data for Federal government clients. You will perform hands-on technical work, policy implementation, and collaboration with various teams to protect data from unauthorized access and breaches. You will also conduct regular security audits and risk assessments on database systems, review vendors' certifications and compliance, and provide guidance and training on database security to staff.
Responsibilities:
- Implement security controls to protect data, networks, systems, and services.
- Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments on database systems.
- Review vendors' certifications and compliance periodically.
- Provide guidance and training on database security to staff.
- Develop and implement security policies and procedures.
- Lead the design and configuration of database and operating system security controls.
- Ensure data protection measures align with Board policies and relevant laws.
- Monitor access to sensitive data in compliance with FISMA, FedRAMP, and other standards.
- Collaborate with different teams to maintain security best practices.
- Develop standards for operating system and database configurations.
- Implement encryption controls for Data-in-Transit and Data-at-Rest.
- Manage a database compliance reporting framework.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Over 5 years of experience in database administration, IT security compliance, and risk management for Federal government clients.
- Equivalent combinations of education and/or experience will be considered.
- Proficient in Linux/Windows Operating Systems and Oracle/Microsoft SQL database servers.
- Skilled in shell script programming, SQL, and PL/SQL.
- Knowledgeable about industry standards and regulations (e.g., CIS Benchmarks, GDPR, CIS Controls, ISO 27001, NIST 800-53).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Adaptable to new technologies and changing security landscapes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with stakeholders.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Self-motivated and proactive in taking initiative.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CISA, or CRISC.
- Experience with cloud-based database services such as AWS RDS, Azure SQL, or Google Cloud SQL.
- Experience with database security tools such as Oracle Database Vault, Microsoft SQL Server Audit, or IBM Guardium.
