Job Description

Cost Accountant

• Prepare and analyze production efficiency and yield variance reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company standards
• Conduct through analysis of raw material costs and variances, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
• Responsible for updating and auditing all aspects of production incentive calculations for presentation to senior management
• Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes, providing insights into cost trends and variances.
• Support month end / year end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
• Assist in calculating labor and overheads rates for the upcoming year and periodically prepare standard to actual variance reports.
• Collaborate with a cross functional team to maintain inventory master data.
• Other projects assigned.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related field
• 3-5 years of experience in cost accounting or a related role, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong analytical skills with ability to work with large sets of raw data.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• SAP and AS400 Experience preferred.
• Ability to commute between the manufacturing site and corporate office.
• Ability to work independently in a fast paced environment,

Starting pay: $86,870.00
