Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Correctional Facility | $45 per Hour
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team in a correctional setting. This role offers a stable, long-term opportunity with a 3-year contract and potential for extension.
Pay Rate: $45 per hour
Shifts: Evening Shift (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM)
Job Type: Full-time, Contract (40 hours per week)
Location: Pontiac, IL
Job Summary:
As an LPN in this role, you will provide essential healthcare services in a correctional environment, ensuring the well-being of patients through skilled nursing care, medication administration, and patient education. This position requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a structured setting.
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses or physicians
Collect and document vital signs and patient health history
Administer medications and treatments while ensuring accurate documentation
Provide patient care in a correctional facility setting
Assist with specimen collection and maintain laboratory standards
Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
Educate patients on health management and preventive care
Participate in case management activities to ensure comprehensive patient support
Qualifications:
Valid LPN license in the state of practice
Minimum 1 year of LPN experience preferred
Strong skills in medical documentation and patient assessment
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while providing compassionate care
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Commitment to confidentiality and adherence to healthcare regulations
Required Credentials:
BLS Certification
TB Test, Physical Exam, and Required Vaccinations
COVID Vaccination
