We have an  immediate need for a full-time, exempt  Corporate and Volunteer Engagement Manager . This role is responsible for cultivating and facilitating relationships between GIBL and its corporate and other partners by identifying various corporations, business and community partners, and individual donors for funding. The Corporate and Volunteer Engagement Manager also oversees the planning and development of a comprehensive volunteer and internship program that supports the program, development, and executive departments. 

The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $70,000 , commensurate with experience. As a full-time role, the  Corporate and Volunteer Engagement  Manager  is eligible to participate in the Girls Inc. benefits program.

POSITION OVERVIEW (What we're looking for )

The Corporate and Volunteer Engagement Manager serves as the primary strategist and liaison in corporate partnerships and volunteer engagement to support GIBL's fundraising and outreach goals. Reporting to the Director of Development and Communications, this role manages relationships to advance programming that supports GIBL members. The Corporate and Volunteer Engagement Manager works in close partnership with teams across the organization. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & DUTIES (What you'll be achieving)

At a minimum, the  Corporate and Volunteer Engagement Manager will be responsible for successfully carrying out the following essential functions and duties:

Corporate Engagement :

  • Manage and steward ongoing relationships with current corporate partners and offer new, innovative ways to grow and expand partnerships that support annual fundraising goals and specific programming needs.
  • Interact with current and potential corporate partners and donors regarding engagement and sponsorship efforts, tracking interactions through Bloomerang, the donor management and fundraising software.
  • Identify career exploration, professional development, service projects, post-secondary planning, and internships to enhance programming opportunities.
  • Create sponsorship proposals for corporate partners.
  • Develop, manage, schedule, and evaluate partnerships and opportunities with corporations, small businesses, higher education institutions, and trade and professional groups.
  • Manage and expand corporate-level volunteer activities.
  • Develop and document corporate-level volunteer program policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a calendar of outreach activities and events.
  • Collaborate with GIBL staff to identify and pursue corporate grants and other fundraising opportunities.

Volunteer Engagement :

  • Manage the overall volunteer/internship process, including recruitment, orientation, training, and performance management.
  • Conduct orientation for all interested candidates and community groups as well as outreach to new individuals and sources of volunteers.
  • Manage the selection, interview, and screening of all volunteer candidates. 
  • Maintain volunteer records in a database and ensure all required documentation is completed and current, including DOJ background checks and DMV checks. 
  • Enhance and evaluate the volunteer selection process to determine current and future needs and provide input for ongoing volunteer opportunities.
  • Coordinate a comprehensive recognition program for volunteers, including regular recognition and affirmation opportunities. 
  • Develop and maintain a feedback loop with volunteers and/or key staff to ensure a positive volunteer experience.
  • Work with Communications to develop and maintain appropriate collateral and recruiting materials and website content.
  • Create and maintain current job descriptions and onboarding packets for volunteer positions.
  • Assist in developing evaluation instruments for the volunteer program and manage the prompt and accurate completion of all reports, evaluations, statistics, etc., relative to individual volunteers.
  • Participate in program staff meetings to provide insight into the utilization of volunteer services as well as collaborate with program staff on the current funding needs of programming.
  • Assist the internal and external community relations programs to create connectivity with potential volunteers and organizational partners. 
  • Work in conjunction with the leadership team to coordinate community awareness campaigns and activities.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS (What you'll bring along)

Education : Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in nonprofit management, public relations, or another related field. Experience may be considered in lieu of education.

Experience : Minimum of three years of experience working with corporate or community relations, volunteer engagement, fundraising, etc. Prior experience in the nonprofit space is highly preferred.

  • Exceptional attention to detail in preparing external-facing business and community correspondence, data entry, etc.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Prior working knowledge of donor management systems. 
  • Capability to manage and complete multiple, concurrent tasks and projects efficiently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other applications to conduct day-to-day administrative tasks efficiently.
