The Coordinator of Graduate and International Student Engagement and Development is a pivotal leadership position at The University of New Haven's Office of Graduate and International Student Life, dedicated to significantly enhancing the engagement and student leadership development with graduate and international students.
This role is responsible for social, cultural, community service, and diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. The coordinator is tasked with the design and execution of advanced training programs, innovative recruiting strategies, and comprehensive developmental opportunities specifically crafted for the target student populations. Collaborative efforts with campus partners such as The Center for Student Engagement, Leadership and Orientation, The Myatt Center for Diversity and Inclusion, Residential Life, Marketing, Athletics, ChargerRec and the Dean of Students Office are crucial. Additionally, this role involves the supervision of Graduate Assistants responsible for engagement within the Graduate & International Student Life Office, ensuring that all programming and student leadership training initiatives align with university goals and contribute to a vibrant campus community.
