Job Description
LaSalle Network has partnered with our client, a global manufacturing organization, in their search for a
Controller for their flagship plant facility. This
Controller will be responsible for managing all financial operations at our client’s manufacturing plant. This role includes overseeing budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and analysis to support the plant's financial health and ensure compliance with corporate policies and regulations.
The
Controller will work closely with the Finance Manager and other departmental leaders to provide accurate financial insights and support strategic decision-making. The role is open due to growth and expansion.
Controller Responsibilities: - Prepare and present accurate and timely financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements and cash flow statements
- Conduct variance analysis and provide detailed explanations for budget discrepancies
- Lead the annual budgeting process in collaboration with departmental heads
- Analyze and control manufacturing costs, including labor, materials and overhead
- Implement cost-saving initiatives and monitor their effectiveness
- Develop, implement and maintain robust internal control systems as well as coordinate with internal and external auditors to facilitate audits and address findings
- Supervise and mentor junior finance staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment while providing training and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities
Controller Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- 3+ years of experience in a financial management role, preferably within a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting processes
- Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems; advanced Excel skills required
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
