Job Description

Job Title: Contracts Administrator

Location: Columbia, MD

Schedule: Full-time, 5 days a week

Compensation: $35-$40 per hour

Job Description:

Contract Management:

  • Assist and coordinate with the Contracts Manager and Director to oversee the lifecycle of contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Research and assist in reviewing, drafting, and negotiating various contracts, including vendor agreements, subcontracts, and client contracts.

Risk Mitigation:

  • Help identify and assess potential contract risks and propose mitigation strategies in collaboration with the department Director and Manager.
  • Work with legal counsel to address legal issues and ensure compliance with laws and regulations.

Negotiation and Communication:

  • Collaborate with the department Director and Manager in leading contract negotiations with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Engage with internal teams such as sales, project management, and finance to ensure clear communication of contractual obligations.

Contract Compliance:

  • Monitor and enforce compliance with contract terms and conditions.
  • Assist in developing and implementing contract management best practices to enhance efficiency.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and organized contract records, including approvals and correspondence.
  • Generate regular reports on contract status, highlighting key milestones and potential issues.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in contracts research and support within a government contracting environment.
  • Strong understanding of legal and regulatory requirements for contracts.
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
  • Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Requirements:

  • United States Citizenship.
  • Must have government contracting experience.
  • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 25 pounds (accommodations available).
  • May require a security clearance, which will be sponsored by Convergint Federal. The candidate must obtain and maintain the required level of clearance.
