Full Job DescriptionOur entertainment client is seeking a Content Editor for a 6-month, hybrid assignment in NYC (40 hrs/week). Candidates must be able to work onsite 3 days/week (can work from home the remaining 2 days). Position OverviewThe Content Editor II will play a crucial role in developing and refining high-quality content that aligns with our brand voice and engages our audience. This position involves editing, proofreading, and optimizing content for various digital platforms to enhance visibility and engagement.Key ResponsibilitiesEdit and proofread content to ensure clarity, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.Collaborate with writers and content creators to develop compelling copy that meets SEO best practices.Optimize content for search engines to increase organic traffic and improve search rankings.Manage and update content in our Content Management Systems (CMS) to ensure accuracy and relevance.Research industry trends and audience preferences to inform content strategy and development.Engage with audiences through social media platforms to foster community and encourage interaction.Analyze performance metrics and audience engagement data to refine content strategies and improve outcomes.Assist in the production of multimedia content, including graphics and videos, to enhance storytelling.Maintain a working knowledge of HTML to effectively update and format web content.Support the digital marketing team with content strategies that align with overall marketing goals.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field.2+ years of experience in content editing, copywriting, or digital marketing.Strong understanding of SEO principles and best practices.Proficiency in Content Management Systems (CMS) such as WordPress, Drupal, or similar.Experience with analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) to measure content performance.Familiarity with HTML and basic graphic design principles.Excellent proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.Strong research skills and the ability to adapt content for various audiences.Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data.
