Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Community Ambassador to join the April Parker Foundation team. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the nonprofit organization management industry while making a positive impact on underserved communities.

The April Parker Foundation is a 501(c)3 community-based non-profit organization that uplifts underserved communities through culturally relevant, highly supportive services. We believe in empowering individuals, families, and small businesses as a way to strengthen the community as a whole. Our services aim to promote security, stability, and well-being by offering various cultural programs and educational workshops.

As a Community Ambassador, you will support our mission by engaging with the community through outreach efforts including hosting events, facilitating workshops, and distributing marketing materials. Your efforts will be critical in spreading awareness of our organization's services among underserved communities.


Responsibilities

  • Host and facilitate cultural programs and educational workshops on behalf of the April Parker Foundation
  • Identify potential outreach opportunities by conducting research on relevant community events and organizations
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community stakeholders and partner organizations
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop outreach plans and materials
  • Collect and analyze data on outreach efforts to evaluate effectiveness and identify areas of improvement
  • Represent the April Parker Foundation in a professional and positive manner at all times
  • Complete all required training and adhere to all organization policies and procedures

Requirements

  • Passion for social services and community engagement
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative on outreach efforts
  • Demonstrated experience in event planning and coordination
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and social media platforms
  • Access to reliable transportation
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
