This is a remote position available to residents of Florida, with the flexibility to work from home. Please note that occasional on-site work at assigned locations may be required.

Summary:

You will serve as an invaluable internal resource for professional service coding and documentation education. Your responsibilities will include conducting medical record audits to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as institutional standards and policies. You'll provide hands-on coding and documentation support to providers through phone calls, site visits, and the creation of helpful tip sheets. Additionally, you will offer guidance on reporting policies mandated by government entities and other payers, aiding in accurate data coding for services rendered. Your analytical skills will be put to use as you analyze data, communicate findings, and assist in improvement initiatives. Collaborating closely with clinical practice managers and coding leadership teams, you will contribute to the enhancement of coding practices across our organization.

Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in Science (Preferred)
Experience:

Minimum of 3 years in Physician/Professional Service Coding (Required)

Additional Details:

We are preferred or must be obtained within two years of hire.
Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential, along with the ability to provide clear technical instruction to medical staff.
Thorough knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 guidelines and principles is required.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is a must.
Excellent understanding of medical terminology is necessary for success in this role.
