Clinical Research Assistant I Location Farmington, CT : CLINICAL RESEARCH ASSISTANT 1 PURPOSE OF CLASS: At UConn Health, this position is responsible for independently performing related support task for assigned research projects/programs or segments of programs/projects. SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Works under general supervision of an employee of higher grade. SUPERVISION EXERCISED: May lead lower level employees. EXAMPLES OF DUTIES Performs a range of duties in conducting research, provides support services for the Center for Trauma Recovery and Juvenile Justice. Assists higher level research staff on assigned projects Receives and executes assignments in designated research protocols, procedures, techniques and equipment Prepares SAMSHA annual reports and continuations and maintains other regulatory documents Performs data entry, querying, editing and retrieval Reviews study data report forms for completeness Disseminates information to other research staff Performs other related duties as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY: Knowledge of research protocols, principles and procedures Knowledge of experimental design, mathematics, statistics, computer applications and written communication skill Knowledge of written communication skill Ability to organize and work with data Ability to work as a member of a project team Applying procedures Knowledge of SAMSHA procedures and documentation. EDUCATION AND TRAINING: General Experience: Bachelor's degree in the appropriate scientific discipline, e.g. Psychology. Degrees in other areas may be substituted on a case-by-case basis. Substitutions Allowed: Certification as a Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) by SOCRA or an equivalent with five (5) years of appropriate practical clinical research experience may be substituted for the Bachelor's degree. If not certified at the time of hire must take and pass the certification within one (1) year of employment. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of SAMSHA procedures and documentation Clinical research experience with youth and parents Experience working with adolescents and families with mental health difficulties in juvenile detention settings Knowledge and experience working with Qualtrics Experience with subject recruitment and outreach SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week. Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.; 30 minute unpaid meal break. Hours may vary based on study need.
