Qualifications:

Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in information security management, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role, demonstrating strategic vision and budget oversight.
Thorough understanding of IT security issues, trends, and regulatory landscape, complemented by exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
Proven track record in developing and executing information security policies and programs in dynamic environments, preferably within higher education or research settings.
Preferred qualifications include a Master's Degree in a related field, familiarity with academic institutions' missions, and professional security management certifications (e.g., CISSP).
