Compensation: $52,000
Location: Remote
Certified Medical Coder:

Inceed has partnered with a great company to help find a skilled Certified Medical Coder to join their team!

• Perform coding, data entry, and other coding related activities
• Ensure all coded services meet NCCI, payer-specific or Medicare guidelines
• Review and resolve charge sessions that have failed claim and review edits
• Perform data entry related activities including but not limited to: data entry, verification, and validation of patient records, insurance claims, and other documents in the medical record.
• Verify the accuracy of coding information by reviewing and updating coding practices and standards.
• Ensure that all coding is performed in accordance with established policies, procedures, guidelines, regulations, and applicable laws.
• Ensure that coding is completed in a timely manner in compliance with applicable federal and state laws.
• Maintain documentation related to coding activities including but not limited to: documentation for completed coding activities, documentation for changes made to a patient’s medical record during the coding process, documentation for closed cases or denied claims.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• 3+ years of coding experience in urgent care, behavioral health, or telehealth
• High school diploma
• Coding certification required ( AAPC highly preferred )
• CCS, CCS-P, CPC, or CPC-H  required
• RHIA or RHIT highly  preferred
