We are hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) to join our team of talented medical professionals, to conduct a one-time, non-treatment Veteran Disability Exam in Memphis, TN.
* Employment Status: Full Time
* Compensation: This is an hourly position, paid by-weekly.
* Schedule: Full Time, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:00pm.

Requirements: The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) must have and meet the following:
* - IF required by state of operation: Maintains unrestricted and in good standing certification as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA).
- Phlebotomy Certification from accrediting training course, when required by state requirements.
- Active/Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Must be able to successfully pass National Agency Check with Inquiries (NACI) background investigation.
- Valid U.S. Driver's License and ability/willingness to drive between work locations.
- Minimum of four (4) years of relevant clinical experience (i.e., Primary Care, Family Care, Internal Medicine, Occupational Health, or Urgent Care).
- Willingness to complete CAOCH and Drug Testing Collection Certifications.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working with Veterans, Service Members and Federal Employees.
- Previous experience performing EKG, PFTs, ABIs, venipuncture, lab processing, etc.
- Current certification in Audio and Drug Testing Collection.
Job Summary:
* The Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) will assist the Practitioner and Physician Assistants in performing one-time, non-treatment compensation and pension exams for Veterans.
* The CMA will perform ancillary services such as:
* Labs (labs will be sent to LabCorp or Quest for testing)
* Pulmonary function tests (PFT) (training provided for all staff performing PFTs).
* Ankle-brachial index (ABI).
* Electrocardiograms (EKG) (EKG manuals are available on location, so staff is familiar with the equipment used.
* Greet the Veterans and show them to the exam room.
* Report any No-Shows.
* Effectively manage office functions (answering the phone, supplying inventory, etc.) and maintain the facility's tidiness.
* Other duties as assigned.
