In this role you will provide care and support to individuals in their private homes while maintaining a safe and clean environment. In doing so caregivers/companions will ensure each clients dignity respect and independence. You will work under the supervision of a licensed nurse and provide nonmedical services such as light housekeeping meal preparation warm companionship and medication reminders. Although not a requirement we strongly encourage those with CNA GNA and HHA credentials to apply.

Essential Duties:

• Develops and promotes a safe environment for quality client care through adherence to established standards policies and procedures
• Ensures clean safe living space (i.e. bathroom toilets dishes laundry etc.)
• Assists client with walking and transportation to appointments outdoor activities errands etc.
• Records and reports any changes or concerns in behavior to the Director of Nursing via written and verbal communication
• Provides verbal reminders for medication
• Plans prepares and serves meals to client
• Accompanies and attends social events with clients
• Adheres to the established care plan
• Administers duties with the utmost professionalism and respect

Knowledge Skills & Abilities:

• Must be 18 years of age or older with a HS diploma or GED
• Two (2) years of documented experience (preferably providing caregiving experience with adults)

• Hold a valid nonexpired drivers license
• Have current CPR/First Aid Certification
• Can provide evidence of a Negative TB skin test or Chest Xray
• Able to bend stoop push and physically assist with needs of client
• Able to read write and understand English
• Ability to adhere to HIPAA and client confidentiality mandates
