Job Description

Salary: $37,373.6 - 37,373.6 per year Requirements:

  • A high school diploma or general education equivalent (GED) is required.
  • Experience in providing technical support is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is advantageous.
  • Proven experience in a helpdesk setting is desirable.
  • Proficiency in various administrative, clerical, and support activities is necessary.
  • Knowledgeable in computers and their programs and operations.
  • Familiarity with operating office equipment, VCRs, computers, televisions, and audio-visual devices is expected.
  • Strong communication skills and a passion for working with students are essential.
  • Proficiency in personal computers and related software, particularly Microsoft Office, is required.
  • Ability to operate with minimal supervision and effectively relate to others.
  • Must be detail-oriented, capable of maintaining files and records, and able to perform a variety of tasks.
Responsibilities:
  • I coordinate the delivery and support of classroom technology needs.
  • I assist students and faculty with computer support and instruction.
  • I help provide workshops and small group training related to computer and instructional technology applications.
  • I offer technical assistance to faculty and staff.
  • I deliver online and phone technical assistance through the help desk.
  • I support the setup and maintenance of computer hardware.
  • I help resolve issues with equipment, software, networks, viruses, and other problems as needed.
  • I assist in managing and securing the laboratory.
  • I maintain statistics regarding user activity, facilities, and equipment usage.
  • I make recommendations to my supervisor regarding necessary workshops, training aids, hardware, and software.
  • I assist with inventory of software and hardware in the area.
  • I coordinate off-campus materials used by other campuses.
  • I handle requests for audio-visual materials and equipment.
  • I log bookings daily, monthly, and for the entire session using a computer.
  • I perform inventory control and documentation.
  • I undertake additional tasks as assigned.

This position is for a part-time Campus Tech Support Specialist I, operating primarily on-site, with occasional remote work opportunities.
