Job Description
- Job Position: CAD Designer
- Location: Corapolis, PA
- Liaison between customer engineering and subcontract design drafters
- Administrative supervision of subcontract design drafting staff
- Administration of customer policies for subcontract drafting staff
- Management of project fabrication, construction milestones, and deliverables
- Development of design reviews, reports, procedures, etc.
- Conceptual engineering design and development
- Collaboration in the definition of functional requirements
- Evaluation of alternative design concepts
- Ensuring the quality of produced drawings
- Maintenance of close working relationships with customer leaders and managers
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other technical degree with 10+ years of experience
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years in drafting
- Ability to interpret structural steel, piping, and ductwork drawings
- Communication skills: Good
- Knowledge of AutoCAD, Inventor and Navis Works
- Experience in Project Engineering/Management is desirable
- Experience in Fabrication/Construction is desirable
- Ability to interpret various instructions
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts
- Understanding of efficiency and financial impact in developing fabrication drawings
- Ability to verify others' work
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, machines, and building materials
- Ability to learn and apply customer drafting standards
- Knowledge of drafting fundamentals
- Computer skills: Minimum 5 years AutoCAD and INVENTOR experience, proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
