POSITION SUMMARY
The Bookkeeper/CRM Associate is responsible for maintaining records of financial transactions and preparing and submitting required financial reports. This position will also track monthly key performance indicators and manage the daily transactions for the organization such as deposits, payments, and cost allocation. This position will also be responsible for donor management through the museum’s CRM software platform.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· Records numerical and financial data to produce financial records.
· Ensures financial data is entered correctly and accurately.
· Enters journal entries to debit and credit the company’s accounts.
· Generates accounting and audit reports for cash receipts, accounts payable and receivable, expenditures, and profits and losses.
· Reconciles and reports differences or issues found in financial records.
· Utilizes NQM’s CRM software platform to monitor and manage donations.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
· At least four (4) years of general accounting/bookkeeping experience required.
· Basic knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial data analysis.
· Ability to use various accounting software programs to record, store, and analyze financial data.
· Experience with CRM software strongly preferred.
· QuickBooks experience heavily favored.
· Ability to efficiently operate a 10-key calculator or equivalent and other related office equipment.
· Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software.
· Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures.
· Excellent written and oral communication skills.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, AND TRAINING
· High school diploma or equivalent required.
· Associates degree with accounting coursework preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time.
EMPLOYMENT ELIGIBILITY
· Authorized to work in the United States.
· Active and valid driver’s license.
· Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
