Now Hiring: Authorization Specialist I (Remote - Must Reside in Texas)
Location: Remote (Texas residents only)
Pay: $16/hour
Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire

Required Shift Availability
Candidates must have open availability during the following times:
Monday-Friday: 6:00 AM - 7:00 PM CST
Saturday: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM CST
Sunday: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM CST
Position Summary
Dean's Professional Services is seeking a qualified, detail-oriented, and patient-focused Authorization Specialist I to support a leading healthcare facility. This fully remote opportunity is ideal for individuals with strong data entry and clerical skills who thrive in a fast-paced, accuracy-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Process and track prior authorization requests in accordance with payer guidelines
Enter and update data in the utilization management system
Assist with documentation of referrals and authorizations
Gather and input relevant medical information (diagnosis, history, prognosis) for clinical review
Maintain accurate records and correct data errors as needed
Stay current on authorization procedures, guidelines, and compliance requirements
Perform general administrative and clerical duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Must reside in Texas
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 2 years of medical office experience
0-2 years of customer service experience
Typing speed of 50+ WPM (must be tested)
Alphanumeric keystrokes of 10,000+ per hour (must be tested)
Reliable and consistent internet connection
Open shift availability (as listed above)
Preferred (Not Required)
3 months to 1 year of data processing or clerical experience
Familiarity with 10-key numeric keypad
