The Associate, Strategy and Management Consulting applies experience solving complex management and strategy consulting problems for federal clients in a fast-paced and dynamic environment on a high-performing team. Ideal candidates have 3-5 years of experience with a consulting firm and are interested in homeland security and law enforcement clients. They are mission-focused, have great attention to detail, and continuously like to improve how they deliver solutions to senior clients.

Arc Aspicio is currently working in a hybrid work environment where work will be performed at client sites, the Arc Aspicio DC office, and, as approved, remotely on a part-time basis. All candidates must live in the Washington, DC area at the time of employment.

Responsibilities

• Supports management consulting projects for the Federal government in strategic planning and implementation, process improvement, and organizational realignment to enhance mission results
• Tracks and reports on status of strategic initiatives
• Collaborates with a team and also leads workstreams in priority initiatives
• Apply human-centered design approaches such as customer experience and other innovation techniques to enhance service and build trust
• Loves to learn complex mission areas in homeland security and emergency management
• Apply and enhance excellent consulting, business analysis, and communications skills to quickly identify problems, analyze challenges, and recommend solutions to our team and our clients
• Join our consulting practice to support projects and company growth initiatives, managing multiple workstreams at one time
•  Develop consulting skills and help grow the company outside of your project by participating in new business and strategic initiatives
•  Contribute to our company culture, which promotes client-focused teamwork, learning, and helping others to grow and develop

Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience working for a consulting firm in management, strategy, or 3+ years of experience in a related professional environment
• Experience applying consulting methods for problem solving, strategic planning, business process improvement, human capital strategy, and innovation (e.g., design thinking)
• Excellent skills in strategic communications and ability to create compelling presentations and communicate with stakeholders
• Strong interest in working in a consulting firm and entrepreneurial spirit with a desire to learn business concepts
• Enthusiasm to collaborate with others and reach out to get involved in company events, offerings, and special projects
• Desire to join a company and team and stay for the long-term, gaining more leadership and supervisory responsibility
• Excellent work ethic in a dynamic, complex, and challenging environment and self-motivated with the ability to take on more responsibility quickly
• Ability to collaborate and work effectively remotely and in-person
• Proven to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Strong leadership potential
• Technological savvy with Microsoft products and use of collaboration tools (SharePoint preferred) and data analysis platforms
• Ability to focus and pay attention to detail while remaining focused on a strategic, big picture
• Clearance: U.S. Citizenship only (no dual citizenship)
• Education: Bachelor’s degree
• Critical Skills: Entrepreneurial spirit, strong work ethic, excellent problem-solving skills, resilience, loves to learn, excited to engage and build relationships

Total Rewards: Salary is just one element of our Total Rewards which includes compensation, benefits, bonuses, professional development, and other career opportunities. The projected salary range for this position is $62,000 - 75,000. This range takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: skill sets and expertise, experience, education, training, certifications, contract and client requirements (if applicable), and other business and organizational needs. At Arc Aspicio, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.
