This position is located in the Veteran Services Division at the Oakland District Office.  This position is responsible for the identification and vetting on veteran service providers and continual maintenance of HQ providers databases for services referral. Incumbent must be knowledgeable of state and federal laws pertaining to veteran benefits and services in order to provide education and guidance of the United States Department of Veterans Affairs (USDVA) disability claims process. 

50% travel per month. Counties Serviced: Sonoma, Napa, Marin, Contra Costa, Alameda, San Francisco, San Mateo, San Joaquin, Santa Clara and Solano counties.

Special Requirements

Veterans may qualify for a CalVet Veterans Hiring Preference. Military service must be included in the Employment History section of the Employment Applications (STD. 678).
