Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities:
- Serves as Overnight Assistant Supervisor for all venues and posts, indoors and outdoors, across the Ringling's 66-acre campus
- Models and ensures compliance of the Ringling Security Operating Guidelines
- Ensures the safety of all persons and property with a focus on customer service
- Performs routine inspections and utilizes a golf cart, multi-line telephone, and two-way radio
As needed:
- Directs performance of security personnel in the absence of the Security Shift Supervisor
- Provides oversight and operation of the Ringling Museum Security Operations Center utilizing electronic security systems, access control points, closed circuit video systems, fire and weather monitoring systems, and computers
- Assists in execution of emergency plans concerning evacuation of venues in the event of fire, disasters, or other emergency situations
- Assists individuals involved in accidents or injured on campus
- Prepares written reports of accidents, incidents, and general conditions
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to:
- Work in all types of weather conditions
- Stand, walk, or sit for long periods
- Ascend/descend stairs
- Valid Driver's License or ability to obtain prior to hire.
- Driver's permits are not allowable.

- Work well with others to achieve common goals with teamwork and cooperation.
- Remain calm and composed, even in stressful or challenging situations.
- Communicate in a respectful and effective manner in-person, written, and over two-way radios.

Anticipated Salary Range
The anticipated starting salary for this position is $33,408 and will be commensurate with experience and education. This role is eligible for a 10% shift differential based the hours of work.

Considerations
- This is an USPS (University Support Personnel System) position.
- This position requires successful completion of a criminal history background check.
- Work Location: Sarasota, FL
- Within the first twelve months in the position, the incumbent must have completed all required training including but not limited to: First Aid Certification, Blood-borne Pathogens Training, Weather Spotter Certification, FEMA Online Incident Command System courses IS 235 and 240, and Basic Campus Fire Suppression System Training with all training provided by The Ringling.

Working Hours
- Tuesday - Saturday from 10:15 PM to 6:45 AM with 30 minutes for lunch.
- This role is required to work a flexible schedule including days, weekends, special events, and holidays based on the needs of The Ringling.
- This is a Medium Priority Personnel role and may be required to work before, during, or after a University closure, such as weather events/emergencies.
