Job Description

Salary: $127,310 - 243,340 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in a relevant field; or 4 years of equivalent experience may substitute for a degree
• 4 years of relevant actuarial or analytical experience with ASA attained; or 8 years of related actuarial experience with FSA attained
• Expertise in handling complex assignments using actuarial modeling software for pricing, valuation, and/or risk management
• Proven experience in presenting complicated actuarial analyses and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Knowledge of Asset-Liability Management (ALM), including liquidity management, asset allocation, cashflow matching, and duration targeting
• Familiarity with asset adequacy testing and ensuring asset sufficiency for future obligations
• Proficient in pricing financial products, particularly annuities
• Understanding of risk-based capital (RBC) frameworks and methodologies
• Proficient in various actuarial software platforms, with a strong preference for AXIS

• Execute complex assignments utilizing actuarial modeling software for pricing, valuation, and risk management
• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations while providing actionable recommendations for improvements
• Operate models, create reports, and deliver comprehensive analysis to Actuarial Leadership
• Propose adjustments and enhancements to models as warranted
• Share expertise with team members, serving as a resource for problem-solving and overcoming challenges
• Lead or assist as a key contributor on moderately complex projects from concept through execution with minimal oversight
• Develop informative exhibits and reports to clarify proposals and findings for stakeholders
• Identify and offer solutions for business challenges independently, often presenting insights to leadership
• Maintain accuracy in pricing levels, structures, and data availability to achieve profitability goals
• Identify critical assumptions, monitoring and suggesting remedies for unfavorable trends
• Analyze impacts of assumptions on profitability and viability of products through various financial metrics
• Advise management and support individual team members on raised issues
• Ensure identified risks linked to business activities are effectively measured, monitored, and managed according to compliance policies
