Requirements

What We’re Looking For

• ✅ Active ASL interpreter license required -- state of Nebraska preferred (from NCDHH) , but not required (we offer reimbursement for cross-licensing!)
• 🤟 Fluent in American Sign Language (ASL)
• 📊 Minimum EIPA score of 3.5 on both the Written and Performance assessments
• 🗓️ Availability for the full 2025–2026 school year
• 🏫 At least 2 years of experience in a school-based setting
• 💻 1+ year of experience providing online services preferred
• 🧠 Strong understanding of instructional methodologies for educating deaf and hard-of-hearing students
• 📝 Willingness to participate in IEP and IFSP development as needed
• 🧰 Ability to assist with setting up necessary equipment and materials for accessible education
• 🔊 Comfortable with amplification devices and assistive tech tools
• 🤝 Ability to maintain strong, professional relationships with students, families, and school teams
• 🏠 A quiet, dedicated workspace with reliable internet for remote work
• ❤️ A genuine passion for working with children
