Advanced Machine Operators – Extrusions

• Monday – Friday 
• 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM
• Earn an extra $2.00/hr shift differential!

About the Role:
Are you a night owl? A new shift has been created at Gateway Extrusions due to customer demand and company growth. You’ll be responsible for operating and maintaining semi-automated machinery to support efficient aluminum extrusion production. This hands-on position ensures a smooth flow of material, consistent product quality, and adherence to safety standards throughout the night shift.

• Operate extrusion presses, saws, and related equipment safely and efficiently.
• Feed raw materials into machines and monitor output continuously.
• Perform regular quality checks using measuring tools (tape measures, calipers, micrometers).
• Inspect parts for accuracy, identify defects, and ensure consistent product quality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve basic machine issues during your shift.
• Keep accurate records of production output, logging approved vs. defective units.
• Maintain activity logs and rigorously follow all safety procedures.
• Support team goals through accountability, flexibility, and initiative.
• Contribute to on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.

What We’re Looking For:

• Previous machine operation experience preferred but not required.
• Mechanical aptitude with strong analytical & problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and use measuring tools accurately; tape measure and micrometer.
• Familiarity with production environments and high-speed machinery.
• Understanding of safety protocols and proper use of protective equipment.
• Ability to read schematics is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and quality standards.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Excellent attendance-we can't get the product out if you're not here. .
• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift materials (up to 50 lbs), and work in a manufacturing setting.
