Actuarial Analyst

Location : Cincinnati, OH (Hybrid Remote / Onsite Position)

Salary Range : $100,000 - $125,000 + Health, Dental, Vision, and 401k Matching benefits

Our industry leading insurance client is adding to their Predictive Analytics team and searching for an experienced Actuarial Analyst to leverage their actuarial expertise to drive data-driven decision-making for the team. In this highly visible role within the organization, you will collaborate with data engineering and data science teams to develop advanced predictive models, shape pricing strategies, and provide valuable insights that guide business decisions. This is a hybrid position in Cincinnati, OH.

In this role, you will lead the development of actuarial and predictive models using statistical and machine learning techniques to support pricing, reserving, and risk analysis of insurance policies. You’ll collaborate and partner with cross-functional teams providing actionable insights to business units on profitability, pricing strategies, and overall risk management. Strengths in documentation and maintaining detailed records of analyses and communicating results to leadership are critical.

Requirements for the Actuarial Analyst:

  • Must have 3-5+ years of actuarial experience, with a focus on pricing or predictive modeling (machine learning or programming experience is a plus).
  • Proficiency in statistical modeling and machine learning techniques. Experience with actuarial software (e.g., R, Python, SQL) is beneficial.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills are needed along with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly and concisely.
  • Previous Insurance Industry experience is highly desired
  • Certification: Working toward or completed ACAS certification.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
