The Position We are looking for an intern-level software engineer to join one of our growing software development teams in Tampa, Florida. If you are a knowledgeable, creative, passionate individual who is interested in learning about and building unique security software that no one else is building, then this exciting opportunity is for you.  As part of a larger team, you will be an important member helping develop professional cybersecurity solutions used to protect critical infrastructure around the world. You will be involved in every stage of the software development lifecycle, planning, design, coding, testing, and deployment. This position is onsite in Tampa, remote work will not be considered for this role. What You Will Be Doing

• Implementing new features and ensuring appropriate levels of automated unit testing.
• Contributing to the design and architecture of the solutions you work on.
• Enhancing the automation testing framework to achieve test driven development.
• Working with local and remote engineering teams to deliver quarterly goal.
• Growing your career as a software engineer under the mentorship of experienced team members.

What We Need From You

• A passion for cybersecurity and learning.
• Dynamic, smart, adaptable, self-starter, open minded, with a teamwork mentality.
• Progressing towards a bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related major.
• Examples of extracurricular programing projects (e.g. on Github).
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.
• Coding Languages: Python, C++, Java, etc.

It Would Be Nice if You Had

• Exposure to REST API utilization and SDK integration concepts.
• Exposure to Git, Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, TeamCity concepts.
• Exposure to virtualization, VMWare, Docker, or similar.
• Exposure to cybersecurity concepts, processes, and tools.
• Experience using the latest technology stacks.
