Job Description

Our client, a quickly growing CPG / E-Commerce company, is headquartered in Southeast Austin, TX, and has a preference for someone willing to work hybrid. 

They are also open to both contract as well as permanent.

Responsibilities:

• Communicate with your Accounting team on job duties and performance.
• Review internal control processes for effectiveness.
• Assess current practices and procedures and make recommendations for improvement.
• Enter, review, and approve financial transactions.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Performance of internal and external audits.
• Lead the month-end process by recording and approving monthly journal entries.
• Variance analysis, account, and bank reconciliations.
• Guide other departments on applicable accounting policies.
• Comply with accounting standards and laws.
• Sales tax management and compliance.
• Perform ad hoc analysis and projects as requested.
• Other responsibilities as assigned by the CEO.

Requirements:

• 5 years of relevant work experience
• Retail / CPG (Consumer Packaged Goods) experience would be preferred. 
• Strong understanding of financial systems and software, with proficiency in NetSuite Oracle.
• Knowledge of GAAP
• Microsoft Office proficiency, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Manage and support multiple members of the Accounting department.
