The Division of Extension and Engagement's Family and Community Health Program is seeking a salaried Academic Wage: Coordinator of Community Mental Health Promotion. This is a part-time (0.75 FTE ), 12-month, fixed-term position. This position is anticipated to last approximately 9 months.
Due to funding, OSU will not sponsor immigration work authorization for this position (e.g. H-1B, etc.). This Coordinator of Community Mental Health Promotion is a member of the statewide team of the Oregon State University ( OSU ) Division of Extension and Engagement's (division) Extension Family and Community Health ( FCH ) program affiliated with the College of Health ( COH ). This Coordinator is based at the OSU Extension Family and Community Health office on the main OSU campus in Corvallis, Oregon. This position will work independently under the direct supervision and review of the Manager of Innovation, Evaluation, and Research in the OSU Center for Health Innovation ( OCHI ). Decisions regarding this position are in consultation with the OCHI Program Manager and FCH Program Leader.This Coordinator of Community Mental Health Promotion and Substance Use Prevention will execute grant deliverables related to community mental health promotion and substance use prevention, particularly in rural communities. The position is grant funded, supporting the work of the Northwest (Region 10) Rural Opioid Technical Assistance Collaborative. This Coordinator will collaborate with OSU Extension; COH faculty, staff, and students; state, local, and regional public health agencies; and community partners to accomplish program objectives.
As a member of the statewide team of Extension faculty and staff, collaborative work across disciplines, organizational units, and Extension programs areas is expected. The coordinator is expected to contribute to regional and state educational team efforts related to the incumbent's expertise and interests, such as annual conferences and other activities as assigned.
This individual is responsible for designing, developing, maintaining and/or carrying out educational programming and outreach activities to serve broad and diverse populations in an accessible, inclusive, equitable, and socially just manner. This includes complying with civil rights and language/visual access regulations.
This position requires driving/traveling. Active and effective communication with staff and key stakeholders is critical to the success of this position, wireless access may be necessary.

This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must successfully complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per University Standard: 05-010 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in youth programs may have additional criminal history checks every 24 months.
